2013 Stories 107 - 142

I received an ARC of WHERE THY DARK EYE GLANCES: Queering Edgar Allan Poe, edited by Steve Berman. I'm writing a full review of the book for Strange Horizons, so I think it would probably be unprofessional to do individual story reviews here before they publish the full review. I may come back and edit in individual thoughts later. For now, I'll list the stories and authors and star the stories I liked the most.

107. THE CITY AND THE STRANGER by Seth Cadin *
108. MATTHEW BRADY, THE GALLERY OF ILLUSTRIOUS AMERICANS by Daniel Nathan Terry
109. POETASTER by Steve Berman *
110. THE HOUSE by Ed Madden
111. THE HOUSE OF THE RESONATE HEART by L.A. Fields
112. THE RAVEN AND HER VICTORY by Tansy Rayner Roberts *
113. CORVIDAE by Peter Dube
114. THE MAN WHO WAS by Ray Cluley
115. GWENDOLYN by Mairead Casey
116. TELLTALE by Clare London *
117. THE LORD'S GREAT JEST by Satyrus Phil Bucato *
118. HIS HIDEOUS HEART by Kyle S. Johnson *
119. VARIATIONS OF FIGURES UPON THE WALL by Silvia Moreno-Garcia
120. FOR THE APPLAUSE OF SHADOWS by Christopher Barzak *
121. BY THAT SWEET WORD ALONE by Heather Lojo
122. TWO MEN IN A BEDCHAMBER, AS OBSERVED BY THE GHOST OF THE GIRL IN THE OVAL PORTRAIT by Terra LeMay
123. MIDNIGHT AT THE FEET OF THE CARYATIDES by Cory Skerry *
124. SURROUNDED BY DEATH by Ronna Magy
125. THE BELLS by Chip Livingston
126. THE DEMON AND THE DOVE by Collin Kelley
127. THE DEATH OF BEAUTIFUL MEN by Jeff Mann
128. EUREKA! by Nick Mamatas *
129. SEVEN DAYS OF POE by Richard Bowes *
130. THE CHICKEN FARMER AND HIS BOY: A METAPHYSICAL HISTORY by John Mantooth
131. A PORTRAIT IN INDIA INK BY HARRY CLARKE by Alex Jeffers *
132. LACUNA by Matthew Cheney *

There really isn't a completely weak story in the book, but the starred ones represent the stories that still had me thinking days after reading them.

EDITED 5/23/13 because I realized I mis-numbered the last 6 entries.

I tried to write something for it, but didn't hit the deadline. (That story did get completed and is currently subbed to Ellen Datlow for Fearful Symmetries.) I did submit to the "Queering Dracula" antho he's doing later in the year.
