Number 7&8

Seven- "The Great Experiment" by the writer of the much touted and talked about Middlesex
Thanks to The New Yorker magazine sharing this online for anyone to read. Seek out March 31st edition under fiction and poetry.

I enjoyed the story although I was not sure I got the ending. Still mulling that over a week later. Thanks talekyn

Eight is from Blue Latitudes ( I know I know my sources seem narrow).

"Columbus in Chains" by Jamaica Kincaid. I thoroughly enjoyed this ss. I learned something about Christopher Columbus and I laughed at the antics of the main character a school girl with a keen sense of knowing about the politics of secondary school. And she has one heck of a sense of humour.

I may be updating more regularly now I have all but finished my school work this semester.

I may end up doing a ton from Blue Latitudes as my reading of books has fallen way behind. This way I can count my short stories as read. And the full book as a book completed.

You're welcome! *grin*

I really do need to look into Blue Latitudes; right now I'm reading John Connolly's "Nocturnes," which is counting towards the short stories and towards my book list ...
